Where to begin ?

So here goes, time to put some words down......but where to begin ?

I am hoping to write blog posts about races, drivers, cars and circuits from the last 30 or so years that I have been following the world of motorsport, and this all began back in 1986 with my first encounter with Formula One. More specifically my earliest racing memory was Red Five (Nigel Mansell, not Luke Skywalker) suffering a tyre bursting at 180 miles per hour on the streets of Adelaide.

At the age of 10 this introduction was from the comfort of the sofa through the power of telly, but the real drama wasn't Nigel's Williams - Honda squirming at high speed, its driver struggling to keep control of his car, it was the voice of Murray Walker, commentator for the BBC's coverage of the race.

With the benefit of 33 years worth of time to research (thanks youtube and a whole bookcase of books) the drama hasn't lost any of its power, and I am still passionate about the world of motor sport. The older I have got , the better my understanding and the broader the spectrum of racing categories, drivers, teams and history I have absorbed, and its through these blogs that I am looking to share my passion.

Here goes........time to consider what to write next ?
